This is literally the most amazing experience we’ve ever had! The cottage is warm and cozy, the hospitality is unparalleled and the hosts are indeed super hosts. Anything you can think to need is provided. Kari and Jack are incredibly sweet and we felt right at home during our entire stay. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable, the snacks and food was very much appreciated and the way that they made our daughter feel so special was lovely. We will definitely be back, if only to stay at this house! Fantastic experience!

Kari is AMAZING. Oh my gosh. I can’t speak highly enough of her and her hosting. I used her cute cottage as a wedding gift for my family, and Kari even went the extra mile to set up special decorations to help them make their wedding night special. Honest in pricing, quick response, excellent customer service skills. my family LOVED it, and they even said that Kari provided delicious homemade bread that they devoured very quickly. What a treat! Book this cottage when you can! You can’t go wrong!

Kari and Jack have a lovely cottage, and in the perfect SLC location to downtown and Sugarhouse. They are in a quiet walkable neighborhood, and have thought of literally everything a traveler could want inside and out of their home. The rooms are all tastefully decorated and comfortable, and you have a full kitchen and dining room as well. We didn't have time to cook on this trip, but enjoyed a great talk out meal and breakfast there. The A/C was welcome on a 100 degree day, and the lighting and ambience inside will make you not want to leave! We highly recommend Kari's place and will definitely stay here again if we can.

This is a DON’T MISS experience. Book your stay in the cleanest, best decorated, amenity rich fairy house today. I have stayed in a large number of airbnbs and this one wins the blue ribbon - top prize. Kari has thought of everything and is extremely generous in goodies, beverages and food for the guests. I can’t recommend Kari’s cottage enough. The house is extremely well appointed, comfortable, and in a great location. And, Kari’s extremely responsive and thoughtful. She made a brunch recommendation and even helpfully called to see if there was a wait! The cottage is adorable and has all the amenities you’d need for a short or long stay.

What a wonderful cottage and thoughtful, caring hosts! Kari and Jack were so responsive and generous in their hosting. The cottage is adorable - clean, comfy, and full of treats! The kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals, and Kari and Jack went out of their way to make sure there was plenty of food for breakfast and snacks for munching during the day. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and was convenient for us (with our rental car) to get to the places we needed to. We highly recommend this cottage for visiting SLC - it was one of our favorite AirB&B experiences.

Expect to be royally spoiled. Kari has thought of EVERYTHING! The cottage was way beyond a welcoming and comfortable place! The cottage is such a delight! We wanted for naught! Preparing Thanksgiving dinner was easy and the table provided space for the entire family. All the special touches did not go unnoticed. Words cannot express how wondrous this place is. I spent most of my time under all the twinkling lights at the dining room table while I wrote, or lounged on the living room sofa surrounded by “candlelight” as I daydreamed. I wish I could visit every few months to see the seasonal changes in decor, as the rooms are thoughtfully decorated to reflect the time of year with intention. The cupboards are stocked with goodies (both bathroom sundries and edible snacks) and i ate way too many Reese’s Pieces from the jar in the kitchen—they’re fallishly colored, afterall! I’m grateful for my time at this magical cottage and hope I can find a reason to return to SLC again. :) Thank you, Kari! It was so nice to meet you and your family. The furry beasts too!

This house is magical and it makes you feel like an honored guest once you step in the door. So much to feast your eyes on, right now its the halloween theme, and Kari does it beautifully. It is absolutely amazing the amount of time and work she puts in to make it all come together. And its not just the decor that is fabulous and a once in a lifetime thing...its also her desire to make you feel comfortable and happy as a clam, with much to offer in terms of snack foods and frig foods and drinks. The beds are exquisitely presented, and I slept so well in her linens, and pillows. The bedrooms are restful and have so many amenities that you feel like you are at home. Its very quiet and homey and cheerful, and quaint and charming all at the same time. We loved our time there!

The neighborhood is lovely and close to great bars and restaurants, and the cottage feels like your favorite aunts cozy home: it’s quaint, extremely comfortable and feels like a real home with history and memories. Kari is a natural hostess and doesn’t miss a beat in her decor, amenities, thoughtful touches and unexpected delights. Walking into the house for the first time was nothing short of enchanting! Music playing, the smell of flowers, soft lighting and surprise treats left scattered throughout the space. Wine on tap! A full bar! A cookie jar! Amazing bath products in the shower. White noise machines in the bedrooms, essential oil diffusers...every single detail was considered. I will without a doubt be booking the cottage for any future trip to salt lake and highly recommend you do the same!

What a beautiful, quiet, and relaxing space Kari has created. From the colorful gardens to the whimsically decorated rooms I enjoyed the variety of spaces and found 3 squares cottage to be restful. 5 stars for the cottage. 5 stars for Kari and Jack. 5 stars for their adorable pups Violet and Iris. That means this is a 15-star AirBnB! Seriously, this is one of our favorite AirBnB homes we have stayed in—we only wish we had more than just one night there! The cottage is lovely. There are twinkle lights and flowers and neat decorations everywhere. There are snacks, too! The refrigerator, pantry, and bar/wine cabinet are fully stocked. Upon arrival, we enjoyed a glass of wine (poured from a barrel spout contraption that their son built) out in their backyard in a treehouse (that their son also built!). We only got to spend a few minutes with Kari and Jack, but they imparted a ton of great Salt Lake City information, and most of all, they left a lasting impression of what wonderful people they are! Staying in the 3 Squares Cottage was the closest thing to living in a magical, Alice-like wonderland. While you're there, be sure to jaunt up to the bustling Liberty Wells Park, which is a short drive/reasonable walk due north, with cute shops, cafes, and restaurants surrounding it. We hope we get to return soon!

Kari's attention to detail is impeccable. Every decoration, piece of furniture, and amenity was carefully placed to give you something new and lovely to see in every direction you look. Every one of our needs were taken care of and more. We set out to have an eventful weekend in Salt Lake City, but we found ourselves just wanting to stay in the cottage; whether we were lounging in the living room, watching one of their many movies, having a cocktail from the incredible selection of alcohol (seriously, there's TONS), or sitting on a swing in the back yard playing wither their two lovely dogs. 3 Squares Cottage exceeded my expectations by a mile, and gave me and my wife an unforgettable weekend in Salt Lake City.

Lovely cottage attractively decorated for the Christmas holidays. Kari and Jack took care to make sure that our needs were well attended to. When snow fell the walks were cleared in a timely fashion. When the toilet leaked it was fixed ASAP. Sweet treats were generously provided, as well as other food items for our consumption. I like to cook for my family, so the kids and grandkids were invited to dinner. Kari kindly provided a high chair and age appropriate toys. We had a wonderful experience.

What's not to love about this charming cottage? The location is convenient to everything we needed like the U of U, Sugar House area which we love, Starbucks is just minutes away and downtown is easily accessed too. Kari's creative and caring touch was evident as soon as we pulled in the driveway. Fall pumpkins, colorful leaves, cozy lighting, table top treats, notes conveniently placed to help orient us, calming essential oils, the availability of music all contributed to a wonderful stay. My daughter was preparing for a college audition and the ambiance helped her stay calm, focused, rested and ready to take on the challenge. We enjoyed being able to stay in for meals instead of eating out the entire weekend and we took advantage of the huge DVD collection. Kari and Jack are both welcoming, helpful and generous with their home and hospitality. You couldn't ask for a better host or home to stay in. Thank you Kari and Jack...we will be back!!!

Where do you begin, when from the moment you arrive to the minute you leave, the stay is amazing. Kari the host(ess) is a true gem and does not lack in the details. From the time you enter the home, every nook and cranny has something to see, offer and admire. The house is beautifully decorated and is reminiscent of the era in which it was built (1932). She has adorned all the rooms with fall/Halloween decorations which makes the stay all that much more cozy and inviting. The home offers something for everyone in every room. Adult beverage and coffee bar in the living room to the wonderful breakfast items, snacks and juices in the kitchen and surprise goodies included throughout. The bedrooms offer everything you could ever want plus things you would never expect. The beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows and bedding that begs to be snuggled in! One of the bedrooms has a door that leads to the backyard where you will find swings that are hung from a large beautiful tree and a garden. The grounds are amazing with an appreciation of nature! Kari shared from her garden and gave us a tour of the detached cold room (where she keeps her goods for the farmers market) and the detached prep/sitting house. I did not ask however, it looks like it may have been an converted garage......which is just as beautiful as the main house. Now a little bit about Kari.......she has a beautiful personality with a soul that is just as beautiful! She is extremely accommodating and is more than willing to offer any help you may need. You truly can tell that she loves doing what she does and it is hard to believe that she is pretty new to hosting. She gives a whole new meaning to the old saying..."the hostess with the mostest"! She truly is!! Thank you Kari for being the genuine soul that you are and a blessing to Airbnb!

Well, I can't say enough good things about this darling home or its charming and hospitable owner. First of all it is in a lovely neighborhood with gorgeous overarching trees and wide, quiet streets. Second the house itself and its grounds are adorable. It is close to the airport, which was important for us. This was our second visit and we had a lovely time.

We really enjoyed our stay in Salt Lake City at Kari’s home. The house is very clean and was beautifully decorated with Halloween decorations that we really enjoyed. Our host was also very generous to leave us some sweet bread, snacks, and drinks that made us feel very much at home. I highly recommend staying here.

Three Squares Cottage is enchanting, utterly enchanting. Sometimes you have the pure pleasure of staying in a place that you would buy for yourself, if you had the chance. This darling house is one of those. Kari has done a fantastic job of decorating this lovely cottage with a combination of antiques and special objets d' art that make it memorable. Everything is of highest quality. In addition, she has so many generous touches: Goodies to munch on, Keurig coffee with fresh milk in the refrigerator!!! Beyond that, she was so helpful about places to go as we headed for Moab. Her hospitality was absolutely over the top. Thank you so much for two lovely stays -- going and coming. PS. We traveled in October and she had already decorated for Halloween. It was such FUN to explore every darling room.

This house is an absolute gem! We were blown away with the charm and Kari's hospitality is second to none. The house was clean and well kept, essentials provided plus tons of snacks and a full bar available. Beds were comfortable and linens of top quality. We only stayed one night but we loved every minute and Kari was a kind, generous, gracious host -- I wish we would have stayed long enough to meet her in person, I can only imagine she is an incredible person based off her lovely home and notes throughout the space that help with the stay!! My husband at I stayed at 3 Squares for three days. Check-in was a breeze - Kari let us know all the details before we landed, and was communicative throughout our stay to the perfect degree. We were completely blown away by the space. A sitting room that takes its inspiration from Victoriana but never feels stuffy or overdone - just lovely. A well-laid out kitchen for cooking. Thoughtful little touches like snacks in pretty dishes. Comfortable beds with beautiful linens. We could tell that Kari and Jack are just kind, considerate people and it shone through in every detail of the space, as well as in our interactions with them. We would rate this as one of the best places we have ever stayed, including tradtitional B&Bs and hotels. If I could give them a 10-star rating, I would do so in a heartbeat!

Our week at 3 Squares Cottage was an exceptional experience! From the moment we entered Jack and Kari's cottage, it felt like home. Cinnamon rolls and bagels on a beautifully domed cake plate, a Keurig coffeemaker ready to go, organic milk, almond milk and organic sweetener was a perfect treat for our morning! We were in Salt Lake City for a visit with our son, daughter-in-law...and were meeting our granddaughter for the first time. To our surprise, we were 4 houses away from them, so the commute was easy....lol! Doggies Violet and Iris were quite comical, and very polite pups. The cottage was impeccably clean and very well stocked...fluffy, scented towels, soaps, shampoos. The bowls of nuts and candies on the dining room table were delicious...too delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night break at 3 Squares Cottage - lovely little place in quiet residential neighborhood. Easy access to downtown SLC and freeway. Very cozy, comfortable, clean and well-stocked with breakfast items, snacks, Keurig coffee machine. Kari & Jack even shared some of their delicious orchard harvest. Would definitely stay again if in SLC.

Kari's place is a cosy and homely cottage that is so warm and inviting. We had everything provided that we didn't even know we needed. The best stocked amenities of any airbnb I've ever stayed at from toiletries to food to entertainment. Breakfast and snacks were aplenty, great selection of teas which we took advantage of to keep warm! On top of all that, the home was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We couldn't fault a thing. Definitely will stay here again if back in SLC. Thanks Kari!!!

This is a delightful bijou residence where Kari has done everything possible to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable, providing thoughtful welcoming touches throughout. Well stocked kitchen and bar, delicious treats and super comfy beds meant that we slept soundly and left, reluctantly, the next morning - we’d have loved to stay longer. Thoroughly recommended if you plan to visit Salt Lake City.

Myself and my brother and cousin picked out Kari’s place as a beautiful looking stay for just the one night instead of staying in an airport hotel during our backpacking trip round the US, and wow did we make the right decision! Hands down the best Airbnb I have stayed in down to the fact that it was the most homely and well thought out, and Kari has gone absolutely above and beyond for her guests with thoughtful touches. Without a doubt 3 Squares Cottage is the most outstanding Airbnb I’ve had the pleasure of staying in! Kari and Jack have thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! It’s hard to know where to start! From the stocked fridge and bar (which in Salt Lake comes in handy) to the breakfast cinnamon buns to the amazing local tips for food, they’ve got your time in Salt Lake sorted. The cottage itself is an absolute dream, the beautifully decorated house makes you feel like you could move in and never leave, the toiletries make you feel like you’re at a spa and I don’t think I sleep better in my own bed! I CAN NOT recommend the cottage any more highly it was such a wonderful experience and was the cherry on top of our time in Salt Lake! I’m already planning my next trip back! Cheers Guys! We can see that Kari really paid a lot of efforts to make the cottage warm and sweet, different lights, kinds of DVD, a lot of bee decorations, everything is well set. We really feel very relaxed when back to the cottage. Our daughter liked the talent tap a lot since she can order the musics directly and can talk to the Tap.
